Harry Kane continues to rewrite Bundesliga history, becoming the first player ever to score 11 goals in the first six games of a German top-flight season, as Bayern Munich eased past Eintracht Frankfurt with a commanding 3-0 victory on Saturday.
The 32-year-old England captain reached the milestone with a precise, low strike from the edge of the box in the 27th minute, beating Frankfurt goalkeeper Kauã Santos to double Bayern’s advantage. His goal came between a quickfire Luis Díaz brace, the first arriving just 15 seconds into the match.
Kane’s scoring form has been nothing short of phenomenal since his move from Tottenham Hotspur to Bayern Munich. Just last week, he netted his 100th goal for the club in record time — achieving the feat in 104 matches, faster than both Cristiano Ronaldo and Erling Haaland, who reached the same mark in 105 games.
However, there was a brief scare late in the game when Kane appeared to pick up an ankle knock after colliding with Santos while chasing a through ball. Though he looked in discomfort and received treatment with ice on his right ankle, the striker was able to continue before being substituted as a precaution.
Despite the incident, Kane joined his teammates in post-match celebrations, even seen smiling and jumping in front of the Bayern away supporters — ice pack still strapped to his ankle.
Speaking to Sky Sports afterward, Kane moved quickly to ease concerns about his fitness ahead of England’s upcoming fixtures against Wales and Latvia.
“No, I’ll be there Monday,” Kane confirmed when asked if the injury might keep him out. “I’m OK. It was just contact on the bone. I had it a few weeks ago and got hit again in the same spot. A few days and it should be fine.”
